All Tied Up Entertainment was founded by Kate Sanderson in 2009.
Born in 1978, Kate Sanderson started dancing at the age of two and competed in her first regional Scottish Highland dancing competition at the age of three, winning a bronze medal. She went on to win the Highland Games in Corby, and also danced with Stanley Baxter in the children’s ITV show Mr. Majeika.
By the age of seven she had decided that dancing wasn’t daring enough so she took up Artistic gymnastics where she competed Nationally for seven years. She was placed 5th in the London & Kent championships and gained the highest score on beam. During this time, she also continued her dance training in classical ballet.
After realising that gymnastics was not a career option and missing the enjoyment of dancing, she returned her focus to dance training and started classes in jazz, tap, modern and contemporary. In 1994, she embarked on a three year full time dance training course at Lewisham College. During this time she continued to perform in display gymnastics. In 1995, she represented the United Kingdom at the World Gymnaestrada in Berlin, and in 1997 she competed at the 2nd British Teamgym championships, winning a bronze in the all around, and Gold in the group floor exercise, which she choreographed.
After graduating from dance college in 1997, she went on to perform professionally as a dancer/tumbler for cruise lines and corporate events. In 1998, she was offered a role in the Central show at the Millennium Dome which introduced her to the world of circus, and many new skills including Aerial Silks & Hoop, Spanish Web, Bungee Trapeze, Flying and Static Trapeze and Stilt Walking. She has since worked in the U.S.A for Discovery Kingdom in San Francisco, California, and Opryland at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. UK credits include The Royal Opera, BBC, Acclaim Sports, Madame Tussauds, Upswing Aerial and Generating Company.
During this time she has built up a wealth of experience as a performer, dance captain, company manager, choreographer and director. She now endevours to combine all of this experience in the form of All Tied Up Entertainment to provide bespoke performances for festivals, events, weddings and the corporate and commercial sector.
